Windows Desktop Search (WDS) and Excel network files

Currently playing with WDS version 2.06.5000.5378. I had it indexing a
common network drive and have found issues with Excel sheets on that drive.
I keep getting READ + WRITE to the file and preventing other users from
getting anything but READ ONLY. I have been using WDS for more then 2 months
now and this has happened a handful of times in the past 2 weeks. Has anyone
else noticed this at all?

I am running MS Office Pro 2003 SP2. Excel version 11.8012.6568

I had to uninstall, because of problems, which were acknowledged by WDS
development team
BTW I believe its more a win app than an office app
