Windows Installer 'preparing to install'

I am using an accounting program called Vision. Every
time I run a report eg. bank reconciliation, I get
interferance with Windows Installer.
It first prompts a message:
Windows Installer
"Preparing to Install"
The second window displays
Microsoft Office 2000 Professional
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office
2000 Professional"

I have viewed similar occurances in your knowledge base
and tried their solutions, though none seem to be
practical. I do believe that the install issue is
related to the registry settings. Please help. Could you
please give a response if you are unable to resolve this
problem.

Try logging in as Administrator, and see if the program launches normally.
If it does then create a new user. You then have a painful process of
getting your email, desktop and other settings back for the new user, but
this worked for me (RE: Excel "Install" every launch.)
MS Knowledge Base articles 290740, 265194 and 312956 were all similar to my
problem but did hold the solution.
