Windows keeps configuring office

I have received this message many times when I start other applications:

"... windows is configuring office ..."

After the configuration is complete then my other application starts.

I am running Windows XP Pro and I have Office Pro. Ed. 2003 installed.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.
