windows live sign in

i tried to sign into this windows live/microsoft communities. when i typed
in the letters i saw
in the box for password and clicked enter the computer asked me to do the
same thing
again. the picture changed. everytime i typed in the info. it asked for
and clicked enter
the box changed. when i printed out the agreement they let me through with
message.
how much is this costing me. what have i signed up for?
