Windows NT 4.0 & Access 97

Mark

Whenever I run Access 97 in Windows NT 4.0 I keep using
100% of the CPU time, and I don't think this should be the
case.

While I'm frequently querying large ODBC databases, even
when the query is not running the CPU usage is 100%. I've
got plenty of RAM 768MB with a 1.7GB processor, so it's
not the machine. I know "most computer problems reside
between the keyboard and the chair", but in this case I
don't think I'm the cause.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Have a great day.

It's normal. Access will use as much CPU as it can, but it releases it to
any other thread that wants it.

Don't worry about it.

Access 97 likes to take over idle cycles. It lets them go when
something else want to do something.
