I am recently unable to view my web-page with Windows Picture & Fax Viewer.
I continue to get "No Preview Available".

Will the viewer open other images? Can you view the web page in the Internet
Explorer?

If the viewer is not running at all, try this:

Start, run, input...

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

There is a space between the "2" and "s."

Dear Ms. Sauer,

colorado weed here

Thank you for your prompt reply !

I did the START, RUN input regsvr32 shimgvw.dll ..... it didn't work.

Yes ..... I can open other photos with WINDOWS PICTURE & FAX VIEWER.

I have looked (diligently) for a FILE: DATA1.MSI on every CD that came with
this
computer. I was instructed by the "computer generated - check & fix
program" to
use this file. I have not a clue ? Sorry !

Hi Weed,

Data1.msi is the name for main install file on each
MS Office 2000 series product. Look in Add/Remove
Programs in the Windows control panel to see which
2000 series apps are installed.

Hi Weed,

In Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel
look for any Microsoft Product that has "2000" listed
as part of its name (Microsoft Office 2000, Word 2000,
Publisher 2000, etc). Each of those will have their own
Data1.msi. When you are asked for that file look at the
bottom of the dialog and it should name the product in a
'use feature from' box.

Hi Weed,

What is the exact product name it's asking for
in the 'use feature from' box and what is
the name on the CD you're inserting at that point?

What error message do you get at that time?

Dear Bob ! Ms. Sauer !!

WELL ! YOUR INFO WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL "IF" ....
.... the creators of this machine (good people) would have
remembered to "include everything" that was suppose to
arrive with the machine !!!

A disk arrived with MICROSOFT OFFICE SR-1 PROFESSIONAL 2000
....... guess what ?
Went to the "START" ...
Did the "ADD & REMOVE" ...
Did the "CHANGE" ....
inserted the disk when told to .... THAT DID IT !

I can once again review my web-page-under-construction ...
...... with the "WEB PAGE PREVIEW" !!!!!

It is soooooooo difficult to find a""Professional" Computer-Geek"" !!!
Thank YOU for your time and patients !
YOU were on the right-track ..... "I" just didn't have what (ha!)
..... it takes !

Respectfully, (!!)

NOW ! ya wanna create an educational web-page ? HA!
