Windows SharePoint Services

When FrontPage 2003 creates ASP pages based upon the database wizard, does
it require "Windows SharePoint Services" to be present on a server?

I'm running Win2000 Server and I know SharePoint Services are not
compatible.

No, SharePoint not required.

Just to elaborate a bit on Tom's reply:

FrontPage 2003 supports working with databases using any of 3 different
technologies:

ASP
ASP.Net
Windows SharePoint Services

SharePoint is built on top of ASP.Net, but is a whole technology all to
itself, and cannot be worked with in the same way that one works with
ASP.Net. It requires Windows SharePoint Services to run on the server. ASP
and ASP.Net only require the appropriate ISAPIs to be loaded on the server.
ASP.Net also requires the .Net platform, but that is widely availabvle for
free, and is in fact, already installed on most Windows 2000 and up machines
via Windows Update. Both ASP and ASP.Net require IIS (Internet Information
Services). However, there are products available for running ASP and ASP.Net
on other Operating Systems as well. They are not very widespread, however.

Morning,
in reference to the below topic. We are receiving
"An error occurred accessing your windows share point services site files.
Authors if authoring against a web server. Please contact the web master for
this servers website. Webmasters please see the server application event log
for more details"
We are receiving this when we try to save a file. The error just started
happening upon our upgrade to 2003 FrontPage. Please advise.
Thank you

And
- what did the webmaster tell you was in the server application event logs?

Hi Stefan,
We are a re seller of hosting etc. and are using the existing sites pages
from our reseller site to redo and to make our own site so that we have the
same information. Is there any way to maybe get rid of the sharepoint
services and just run FrontPage 2003 normally like it ran in 02? We have not
spoken to the webmaster of the reseller site because they have given us the
thumbs up to take and copy their info onto our site. What exactly would we
need to find out from the Webmaster?
Thanks for all of your help!
Respectfully,
