i just switched to a mac & have one problem with powerpoint. in
windows, you can view the slides, or the outline along the left hand
side of the presentation...in mac, it seems you can only view the
outline...is this just the way it is, or can someone tell me how to
view the slide view (not the whole slide or the slide sorter)?

thanks.

What version of PowerPoint do you have? This sounds like PowerPoint 98, the
equivalent of PowerPoint 97 on the PC, where there's no "tri-pane" view like
you're used to in PowerPoint 2000 and up.

If you have PowerPoint 2001 or later on the Mac, choose View, Normal. If
you click the Slide view icon, lower left of the PPT window, it may give you
an abbreviated tri-pane view with very narrow outline and notes panes. You
can click and drag the bars separating the panes to adjust them to suit your
own taste, though.
