Windows update 911562 corrupted file & folder access

After installing Windows update KB911562 this week, Office file & folder
access didn't work anymore. Opening or saving files in
Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook hang up and the application didn't response
anymore. Windows Explorer didn't work either, expanding folders hang up the
process. I removed the Windows update and got rid of the problem. Thanks for
a great update!!

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx has
been revised to v1.1 to reflect the issues in KB918165 and now points
to the KB918165.

Now may not be the time to learn Regedit.
I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose.

Unzip it, extract the .reg file to a folder, right-click it and select
Merge and confirm when asked.
