Hi guys,
Here's the solution to the problem "On every start of Office 2000 the
installer pops up on my limited Windows XP account".
There are 2 possible solutions:
Solution I (if you have to support one account only):
1. Make the account an administrative account,
2. Start any office application. It might be required to insert the
office CD to complete the installation,
3. Set the account type back to limited.
Solution II (if you have more than one account to support):
1. Go to an administrative account,
2. Run any office application (to make sure that the installer doesn't
pop up. If it does, insert the Office CD (as requested) and complete
the installation,
3. Export from the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0
4. Import it on the limited account(s).
