Windows XP causes error with PWA

I have a new PC and this one runs with Windows XP. I have opened the
PWA and downloaded the two dll files. The page will display but there
is a yellow triagnle with "Error" beside it in the bottom left corner
of the webpage. Also, the hour glass hangs. I notice that the Java2
Runtime 1.4.1 and Java Plug-in 1.4.1 said the status was "Damaged" int
the Windows\Downloaded Program Files folder. I feel this is related to
the webpage not working correctly. Please help.

I have been able to download the controls and now I have the PWA Home
Page error. There is a yellow triangle in the left bottom corner. The
error says it is on line 1964 "object doesn't support this property or
method." I am running Project Server 2002, Windows XP SP2, IE6.
Please help...
