Subject of this post is the same as another thread with the same
subject name, but I can't reply to it for some reason, but to deploy
COM add ins to Word 2007 with an XP visual style, I needed to adjust
my winword.exe.manifest (which worked fine in Word 2003) from :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"
manifestVersion="1.0">
<dependency>
<dependentAssembly>
<assemblyIdentity
type="win32"
name="Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls"
version="6.0.0.0"
processorArchitecture="X86"
publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df"
language="*" />
</dependentAssembly>
</dependency>
</assembly>

to :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"
manifestVersion="1.0">
<dependency>
<dependentAssembly>
<assemblyIdentity
type="win32"
name="Microsoft.VC80.CRT"
version="8.0.50608.0"
processorArchitecture="x86"
publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" />
</dependentAssembly>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<dependentAssembly>
<assemblyIdentity
type="win32"
name="Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls"
version="6.0.0.0"
processorArchitecture="X86"
publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df"
language="*" />
</dependentAssembly>
</dependency>
</assembly>

i.e. Added Microsoft.VC80.CRT as a dependency, visual styles then show
up for my COM add in in Word 2007, hope this helps somebody :)
