Windows XP START Failure

P

pood424

I installed an older problem on our older second computer. Upon restart, got
error message indicating that a software or hardware problem may have led to
the problem that the computer will not start (get the dos screen indicating
this and must select how to attempt to start, including previous settings
that were successful).

Selection of any possibility leads to the start up screen of Windows XP,
with the screen going to black after a few seconds and the processor activity
light going from green to out.

Suggestions? Thanks.
