Windowsupdate error A9B KB976416 - please help

Hi,
Have received repeated error A9B on Windows Update install of KB976416 over
the past week or so. Same error from standalone installer. Have tried
running the extracted package with logging and have a log file but cannot
post here
due to size limitations.


Also, have received the text below in a dialog box when running the
extracted package:

Error 2715: An internal error has occurred.
(RdbVs8_RegFile_20490_________00001.3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8

Have you tried to post this to the windowsupdate newsgroup describing your version
of Windows
