Winfax does not work with Outlook 2002

Everytime I attempt to link my Outlook Contact list with Winfax Pro in

order
to use that list for fax numbers, I get an error message about MAPI
failed.

Contacted Winfax and after sending me a newer version CD and installling
and
still not working they tell me that MAPI is broken in Outlook and I need
to
uninstall Outlook and re-install. There must certainly be a way to repair
MAPI in Outlook without removing the entire program.

I attempted to use fixmapi.exe in C:\Windows\System 32 and could not open it

I am using Windows XP Home O/S

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Did you see Diane's reply to your other post?
WinFax Pro does not work consistently with Windows XP nor Outlook 2002.
Ask you questions to Symantec. We have no solutions.
