Winword Error

[DX]

When opening Word 2000 Error message "Winwod had caused an
error in WINWORD.EXE. Winword will now close.". Next
message is "Winword....error in MFC42.DLL". and then
Winword....an error in <unknown>". Word does not open.
Any thoughts?
