WINWORD.EXE- Application Error.......The memory could not be "read"

When I try to open an existing file and even opening a new file I ge
this error message:

Microsoft Word: WINWORD.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x01f6216b" referenced memory at "0x00000000". Th
memory could not be "read".

I've been on the Microsoft website and installed ALL the Office update
as well as ALL the Windows updates my computer needed, after scannin
for updates.

I restarted, and I still get that same error message. Any ideas?
Please help
