WINWORD.EXE - Application error

I get this error message every time I close my word 2003.

The instruction at "0x6003c43f" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The
memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program.

Can anyone please help me get rid of this message.

Do you get the error in safe mode?

This error is indicative of a driver failure. Could be a printer or
video/graphics driver or something other device. Check at the manufacturer's web
site of your products to see if there are updated drivers.

Thanks Mary,

I restart my PC in safe mode, but still get the same error message on
closing word 2003.

I am using a Toshiba Tecra laptop, so all driver files are updated.

The tasks I have done preceding this error includes mailmerge, installing
Adobe PDF professional. I had also installed Office 2007, but was finding it
too different and moreover everyone else at the office was still on Office
2003, so uninstalled and reloaded Office 2003. But this error message started
only after a week or so after all these activities.

I'd still look into updating your drivers.
