WINWORD.EXE ERROR

HELP PLEASE
I cannot open a doucument I created yesterday (June 2,
2004). I get a response thT winword.exe has caused an
error and will now close.
OR
A response will say that this document is locked by
Gateway Value Client and is being used by another user. I
have only one PC.
What is up?

Hi Clarence,

Is this limited to one document or does this occur on all documents?

What version of Word are you using and what patches do you have
installed? If using Word 2002 or 2003 can you use the "Open and
Repair" command from the Open drop down in the File/Open dialog box?
