Winword has performed an illgal operation

Hi, I have Word 2000 running on a Windows 98 machine.
Everytime after I sent a Word document to a Mail Recipient
As a Attachment, Word would give me an error message when
I exited out the program. It says "Winword has performed
an illegal operation and will be shut down." "Winword
caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at
017f:bff7b9a6." The Word document was sent out through
Outlook without any problems. But when I closed out Word,
these error message will show on the screen. Can someone
tell me if there is any solutions? I tried to reinstall
Word but it didn't help to get rid of the error messages.
