Winword issue Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 812123

I am trying to get the patch described in this article,
but when I try to follow the links, they go nowhere, or
tell me that I am not eligible for no-fee support based on
a product number that is a corporate license. I am
confused.

What you need is not a patch but a hotfix. Hotfixes are never available for
download. You *have* to talk to a MS Support person and be prepared to pay
for it, but note that "In special cases, charges that are ordinarily
incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support
Professional determines that a specific update will resolve your problem."
In other words, if you need the hotfix, you get it for free and the support
call is free.
