Winword2000 Crashes when selcting fonts

In Word 2000, when I selct Format Font from the Menu, the
application generates an error " Winword.exe error" and
shuts down the word.
Same error happens when I cut & paste from Outlook to
Word2000

In general, problems with the Font, Symbol, Style, Page Setup, and Print
dialogs point to a possibly damaged printer driver. Delete and reinstall the
printer; better still, check the manufacturer's Web site for an updated
driver.
