WinXP Pro, Publish Web Locally?

D

DJ5A

Hello Everybody:

I have recently purchased a new computer & I'm very new to WinXP Pro.

I'm wanting to backup my "Live & Published" web sites locally on my hard
drive.
With my old Windows 98 I just publish to http://localhost/mydomainname
locally,
I'm not sure where to publish locally on WinXP? Which folder would I publish
too?

Thank You for Your Time!

It would be the same, as long as you have installed IIS under Add/Remove
Windows Components and then configured the FP extensions for the specific
web site.

The same, such as http://localhost/mydomainname

However, if you haven't already done so, you should first
go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove
Windows Components, and install Internet Information
Server (IIS) and the FrontPage Servere Extensions.
