wiring diagram - intersecting lines

how do I get one of the intersecting lines to make the half circle to
indicate non-connecting wires in my diagram?

First, you must be using Connectors and not Lines. Then go to File > Page
Setup > Layout & Routing and set the Line Jump properties.
