With a Publisher website, can I use MSN Messinger or IM?

I am creating a website with Publisher. I would like to be able to
communicate with my customers in real time. Is that possible with MSN
Messenger or IM? Do I need to purchase new software to make that happen?

I use neither, but you can insert hyperlinks, email addresses into
Publisher. Perhaps use the insert HTML code fragment feature?
