I can't get the Wizards to run in Access XP. If I try to link to an
Outlook table, I get the message:
"Microsoft Access can't find the wizard. This wizard has not been
installed, or there is an incorrect setting in the Windows Registry,
or the wizard has bee disabled.
To reenable this wizard, click About Microsoft Access on the Help
menu, and then click the Disabled Items button to view a list of
addins which you can enable. Rerun Microsoft Access or Microsoft
Office Setup to reinstall the wizards. If the missing wizard is not a
Microsoft Access wizard, reinstall it using the Add-in Manager."
My installation was a complete installation and checking for disabled
items shows that nothing is disabled. I have reinstalled and
installed Service Packs 1 and 2 and all XP updates.
If I try to create a new form using the Form Wizard, I get this error
message:
"This feature isn't insdtalled, or has been disabled.
To install this feature, rerun the Microsoft Access or Microsoft
Office Setup program or, if you're using a third-party add-in,
reinstall the add-in. To reenable this wizard, click About Microsoft
Access on the Help menu, and then click the Disabled Items button to
view a list of addins which you can enable."
It's probably a problem in the Windows Registry, but I don't know how
to fix it. Like I said I've reinstalled the program and it doesn't
help.
Ok, to help you a little further, I've also had Access 2.0, Access 97,
and Access 2000 all installed at the same time. The installation
order was oldest version to newest. Each of these program have been
uninstalled and their directories deleted.
I don't know what to do and Microsoft doesn't seem to have an answer
on their site. I've searched Google newgroups and I can't find an
answer there either.
