I am wondering if there is a way to automatically "write out" the dolla
description of a number entered in a cell.
For example, I enter "$9.99" in column b and would like to have colum
c auto-fill with "Nine dollars and ninety-nine cents"

Any ideas

No built-in Function, but you can build your own User Defined Function using
the info at:

Has a Numbers to Words Function along with many other useful Functions.
