Won't find contacts

I have "Password" in the company box on many contacts, and at one time 2007
would bring those up. Now it doesn't. it does bring up any contact with the
word in there some place but not the company box.

It once worked.

I avoid outlook because of this. I want something else cause outlook has
always been a problem of MicroHard.

suggestions?

What do you mean by "it would bring those up"? We are not watching to see
you bringing them up, so we do not know. Give us a description of what you
are doing.

Ok, used to be that if I typed "password" which is what I put on the
corporate name entry line, with nothing in the name line, outlook would bring
up all those when I typed the search work "password" as well as any other
contact that had that word written.

Now it prings up 4 or 5 entries, some have the password in the corporate
name area and others, put not in any order not all that there are. I know
this as when I run desktop search the names I'm looking for come up properly
as in the outlook contact data base

Desktop search shows 145 fiting the item i'm looking for in the company
entry area. I also have a problem in that outlook imported about 2500
contacts from my old software, but when I try to make a change it says I
can't becuase it has reached its limit of 1,000. what do I have to do to get
that barrier dropped?

We cannot see where you are typing and you are not using Outlook
terminology.

So be SPECIFIC.
What do you mean by this: "Ok, used to be that if I typed "password" which
is what I put on the
corporate name entry line, with nothing in the name line"

Where are you typing? The Find a Contact window? Search? Advanced Find?

What is The Company Box? Do you mean the field named Company?
