Won't "Open in Microsoft Project"...

When I'm in Project Server 2002 and browsing through the projects, there is
a link above the project window that says, "Open in Microsoft Project".
However, when I click on this link a message box pops up telling me the
following:

"You need Microsoft Project 2002 Professional or later in order to open this
file.

You currently have Microsoft Project 2000 or Microsoft Project 2002 Standard
installed on your computer, or you are using Microsoft Project 2002
Professional in offline mode. If you already have Microsoft Project 2002
Professional or later installed, quit Microsoft Project Professional and try
again."

I have Microsoft Project 2002 Professional and am using Microsoft Project
Server 2002. I have quit the program and tried again as requested to no
avail. I'm not quite sure what the offline mode problem could be. If I
open Proj. 2002 Pro. and log on to the server through it, the link still
doesn't work - surely I am "online" then????

Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to provide!
