Word '07 and a "Attempted to read or write protected mem..." Excep

MIS Dude

Hello fellow programmers,

I would like to thank both P0 and Cindy Meister in the past for their help.

This is a toughy...so I'll just say the following up front:
Windows Edition:
-Windows Vista Enterprise
-Service Pack 1
-Don't have Visual Studio installed on it cuz I test here.

Here it goes:

I open a Word '07 document from a library in SharePoint and have my own
ribbon auto-installed on the client machine. All of my apps work fine when I
take my time "Saving" back to the server...however, when I "Save" quickly
back to the server (meaning, I've added some of my custom content controls to
the Doc and click Save in < 15 sec...yes, less than 15 seconds), AND I'm
presented with a dialog that says the following:

"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication
that other memory is corrupt."

After I click the [OK] button, (the only button in the dialog), I lose the
ability to move the insertion point anywhere in the document (eg. move the
insertion point to other locations within the text via mouse). I opened up a
new instance of Word, (Run>WINWORD.EXE, and shows the native Word without my
Add-In, enter random text), the inability to move the insertion point via
mouse continues. I open notepad (Run>notepad, enter random text) and I can
move the insertion point via mouse. I switch between these two, and it's
proven that only Word prevents me from moving the insertion point.

So I checked out the "Event Viewer" (Run>Eventvwr.msc) and looked under the
Windows Logs>Application and the General Tab presented the following:

<==========
"The program WINWORD.EXE version 12.0.6331.5000 stopped interacting with
Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is
available, check the problem history in the Problem Reports and Solutions
control panel. Process ID: ca0 Start Time: 01c97ca3c8a1c60f Termination
Time: 6"

Log Name: Application
Source: Application Hang
Event ID: 1002
Level: Error

....So I continued to the "Problem Reports and Solutions" and found the
following:

Within Word, I have set (from what I feel) the appropriate "Trusted
Locations" within the "Trust Center" so that I can install my ribbon etc.

Does anyone know how to solve this "Hang Time: 6144" issue with respect to
Word 2007? I've seen people post before regarding IE7, but nothing towards
Word '07.

And so, if anyone can help, I would express my greatest gratitude.

Thank you for your time if you've read this far...
