Word 200 Tools

When I left click on tools, the drop down menu includes in
excess of 30 mail merge tabs. This is more of an
irritation than a serious problem at present. I have tried
repairng Word and also uinstalling, shutting down the
computer, then rebooting and re-installing, all via the
add remove programs facility in Win 98SE, to no avail.

I should appreciate it if some-one could advise on how to
correct this problem. I should add that I am a novice
when it comes to coorecting this type of problem.

These are a result of having the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word
installed. Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it. Then
restart Word, open Tools | Customize, and drag all but one of the Mail Merge
entries off the Tools menu. If you are prompted to save Normal.dot on
exiting Word, be sure to say yes.

Thank you very much for the advice. I have now removed
all the surplus mail merge tabs and every thing seems to
work.
