Word 2000 a frame or box won't close on the bottom

I added a frame around my 1 page poster. The bottom frame won't close no
matter what I do. I also have a colored background. How do I close the frame,
and why doesn't the color background print?

Backgrounds are intended for Web pages and don't print (unless you save your
document as a Web page, view it in a browser, and print it from there with
the option to print backgrounds enabled). For a printing "background," use a
watermark; see “HOW TO: Create a Watermark in Word 97 and in Microsoft Word

Bottom of the frame (assuming you mean border) doesn't print because it's
outside your printer's printable region. Move it upwards.

How did you apply the coloured background?
