I just updated my Adobe from 4.0 to 6.0. I am running
Word 2000. I never had any problems until I upgraded to
Acrobat 6.0.

Now when I try to use the format paintbrush to copy a
format from one document to another I can't do it and my
computer locks up very frequently after pdfing a file.

I tried to get support from Adobe, the say it is a Word
issue with PDFMaker.dot.

How do I get this fixed?

Do you have any other add-ins? I have exactly your configuration
(W2000/Acrobat 6) and I've not seen the problem you describe.

A complete uninstall and reinstall of both products might be called for.
(You didn't have anything else to do today, did you?)

I have tried that in fact. I re-installed both Office and Adobe. I do not
have any other add-in besides the PDFMaker.dot. If I take PDFMaker out of
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Setup then the paintbrush works
correctly but there is no macro to pdf.

This is also happening on both machines that I loaded Adobe 6.0 on.
