Word 2000 and preview

When I try preview on the document the system run very slowly. About 15
minutes to answer at first time.
I try with documents shorts and more longs but the system response is alwais
very slow.
I try upgrade the PC to other processor but the results are simillar.
What can I do to mitigate the problem ?

Problematic macros, especially in your startup folder may cause this.
Check tools > Options > Templates and Add-ins for unknowns.
