word 2000 and xp service pack 2

First, thank you for reading this,and I hope you may be of some help to me.
my problem is I am using the program 'Word 2000', which works great until I
download and install xp service pack 2 from microsoft. Then I try and use
Word 2000 and and load documents which won't load, any help would be
appricitated, thanks
