I installed a trial version of Office XP on my machine, and
decided I didn't want to keep it, so I uninstalled it. Now,
when I open Word 2000, it just hangs. The Word 2000 picture
appears on the screen, but nothing happens. Can't alt-tab
anywhere. Even the Control-Alt-Delete doesn't work
After a minute or two, I get an error message
The system is dangerously low in resources!
Would you like to terminate the following
application?
Microsoft Word
If I click "Yes", then it will close, but if I have any
other program running, I get the same message it, as well,
including Explorer, which then produces a blank screen that
I have to pull the plug on.
Excel and Access work fine. This is on Windows ME. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000, to no avail.
