word 2000 crashes? Where to find reason?

My boss is using Word 2000 on a windows XP machine. For some reason or
another, as she explains it, "it only crashes when I'm doing something
important". To date the only thing that seems to make sense is that the
letter head she is using is causing this problem, but after creating new
letter head it hasn't solved the problem. IS there a real error report that
will tell me what is really going on? IDEAS?

Word is the only program open at the time of the crash.

What is the error message? Click details on the error report, what does it say?

Do you mean look at the report that is being sent? Because if I do that I
just get a huge list of the drivers and driver versions that are involved. I
wasn't able to copy and paste this list...

Usually there is a detail that will say what is faulting. It could be a .dll or
whatever. What does the initial error say when Word hangs?
