Word 2000 disappears

I have a client running Office Pro 2000 on Windows 2000
TS. All updates and patches have been applied to the
server, Office 2K, and the end users XP machine.

The problem is that on random occasions (not repeatable),
Word will completely disappear from his TS session. No
other applications drop, nor does the TS session. The
only common theme is when he is copying and pasting
between two Word documents. The amount ranges from a
single word to a paragraph...not much! No event logs are
generated either at the PC or the server.

Any suggested fixes would be appreciated.

The critical question is how is he switching between documents? If he is
clicking the document icon in the Taskbar, then he has hit the Handwriting
Recognition bug. Go to the Control Panel, Regional & Language Settings,
click on Languages, Advanced tab and uninstall Handwriting Recognition.
