Word 2000 error

Hi all:

I have a word 2000, and have a problem. When I open a old
file and then edit it, the error msg shows immediately.
Then, the word closed.

I have tried to re-install but still see the error. Could
anyone help me?

Tony

Winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error
log is being created.
