Word 2000 freezes - I am SO FRUSTRATED

I am having the SAME problem that Chuckieg2 described in
his message. I even deleted files that I no longer use or
decided I would just re-create - thinking that would
work. Well, it didn't!!! I could SCREAM! I searched
Microsofts website regarding this problem and it suggested
renaming Normal.dot (and it gave suggestions that I can't
remember right now). I am scared I will mess up my
computer even more. Anyone try this suggestion? Did it
work? Why are there so many folks having this problem all
of a sudden??? Please respond to [email protected].

Try opening the document in Wordpad. That may allow you to open and get most of the document. You will then be able to save the document as an RTF documuent
