Word 2000 label merge documents real annoying

Dear reader of this message!

After looking hours and hours to just a simple thing what u can do in
word2002 i really wanted to tell my irritations about this awfull
product! (word2000)

If we wanted to make a label merge for price labels, adjusting the
layout is really terrible!!!!! Normal (word2002) we make a maindocument
we adjust every appearance like font, center the text in the middle of
the label and after we hit the button, the adjustment for only one cell
will go for the rest of the document.

Really nice we only had to change one label and the rest will change
with it! (good job program makers) but however if you look to word2000
its really not working in that way. So my question after hours of
studying and looking is there a way in this product to do it like the
same way as in word 2002?

Please i really need some help or should we put this product in the
recycle bin and upgrade to word2002?

Microsoft developers spend a lot of time improving (or at least *trying* to
improve <g>) the software in each new release. The fact that Word 2000
doesn't work the same way as Word 2002 doesn't surprise me. If Word 2000
isn't doing it for you, then yes, it's time to upgrade.

That said, perhaps someone will know how you can make the label layout in
Word 2000 behave better. If nobody here has an answer for you, try posting
in one of the word-specific newsgroups. I'd bet the folks in
microsoft.public.word.mailmerge.fields would be able to tell you if it can
be done or not.
