Word 2000 Not loading

I just installed Office 2000 Small Business edition on my
Windows XP laptop. I am unble to launch either Word or
Excel the only program that works is Publisher. I have
searched for normal.dot and don't find it on my computer.
I have tried loading with /a option and it works fine
with that switch.

Any help would be appreciated.

If Word runs fine with the /a switch, then your problem is in Normal.dot
(which is Hidden in Windows XP unless you have that option disabled), the
Registry, or an add-in. See
