Word 2000 Printing Problem

I have an HP PSC 1600 printer and am currently using Word 2000 on
Windows XP. When I print a document from Word, several lines appear
in the text, which would suggest that the print cartridge heads need
to be cleaned. However, when printing from other office apps, these
lines do not appear, which leads me to believe the problem is lying
somewhere in word. Has anyone else experience this problem? What
could be causing it?

I have tried cleaning and realigning the print cartridges to no
avail.

Sounds like a software issue with Microsoft Word and the print
cartridge. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Microsoft Word?
