When I edit, print or open word files
which contain a lot of equation objects
it is very very slow!
This is a known problem that Word 2000 is notorious for. (Later
versions, BTW, don't have this problem.) The problem is related
to Word's habit of building up temporary files, then sometimes
not deleting them. Your Word docs will speed up tremendously by
deleting these temp files manually. Read our article on the
