Word 2000 Problems

I am having a problem with my Word 2000. My daughter was
typing an article, and somehow it got saved permanently
to Word. Every time we open Word 2000, that document
comes up. She says she did not save it, and I checked
and it's not saved. Any ideas how to get rid of it and
have a clear screen when we open Word?

if you have win98, I would try going to the "My Computer"

icon and open it up, then click on "My Documents". All the
files that have been saved on excel or word should be
there and delete it from there instead of from your Word
program.
