Word 2000 question

P

PAMELA FLORES

Hi: Can someone tell me if Word 2000 can be used with Win XP Home?

A friend of mine needs a word processing program for an online class, and
all she has is Word/Note Pad. The professor requires a version of Word to
complete the assignments, or drop the class. I have MS Word 2000 (not a
copy) which I haven't used in years and was going to "give" it to her if
it's compatible with XP Home. It's also registered in my name, does that
have any detrimental affect, legal or otherwise, don't want to do something
wrong?

TIA
