Word 2000 quitting on its own

I have Word 2000 and when I have more then one document
open, and I minimize both windows and switch to something
else, then when I try to go back to one of the Word
documents, Word quits by itself. Is there anyway to fix
this? Thanks

Go to Control Panel, Regional Settings, Language Tab, Advanced Options and
remove the Handwriting Recognition.
