I have just reinstalled WinXP.
One of the programs that I need to reinstall is Word 2000. I have an OEM CD
bought from a reputable dealer on Ebay. (This is not Office. I think it was
part of a MS Works offer.) I successfully installed this about 1 1/2 years
ago, so I must have used the correct license number at that time.
On my CD, I have written the following number in indelible ink:
34504-OEM-0090032-96438
When I try to install this, I am asked for a 25-bit number.
Does anyone recognize the format of my number? Have I carefully written down
the number of a competely different application?
