Word 2000 reloading

I recently came home from a long hospital stay to a
completely dead system ( Hard drive total failure ). Upon
reloading of my system on to a new hard drive, I was
prompted to enter the CD key for my word 2000. I went
through all of my original paperwork and it is not
included with it. I tried to contact the local computer
sales and service company that built my system originally
and they are no longer in business. Is there any way that
I can recover this info from Microsoft being as it was
registered to me originally?
