Word 2000 start up error

After downloading and installing Adobe Reader 6.0 I get an
error every time open and close Word and Excel.
In Word I get "Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec"
In Excil I get "Compile error in hidden module:
AutoExecNew"
How do I fix this?

First I deleted the Normal.dot file - didn't help.
Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Office - It didn't help.
Both programs are functioning ok but I suspect they will
give me grief some day if I don't fix the error. Any
ideas will be appreciated.

I'm using Win 98SE. Both 98 and Office have all the
current updates and Adobe Reader 6.0 is working just fine.
